APNT Sports Massage Diploma:  Taught by our very sought after tutor and fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapist -  Jane Johnson

This Sports Massage Diploma Course is open to all therapists with a basic massage qualification. The purpose of sports massage therapy as opposed to a normal relaxing massage is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. When minor injuries occur, either due to overexertion and/or overuse, sports massage can be used to help alleviate them quickly and effectively. This type of massage will help to drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, prevent injuries and in the case of sports people, prepare their body for peak performance.

Sports massage can help prevent niggling injuries that often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether a person is an athlete , a person who only jogs once a week or a person who is just very physically active in their everyday life

Sports massage is not restricted just to sports injuries. It will also enable you to treat everyday injuries and aches and pains, even injuries that people have from everyday work!
