One Day Workshop for Post Graduates in Massage and Reflexology

Suitable for Massage and Reflexology graduates wishing to work in the field of clinical care

The workshop will look at the practice of massage & reflexology supporting seriously ill patients as well as patients in the terminal stage of their illness.

The day is designed to familiarize graduates who may already be familiar with the clinical area and is necessary for those who have not worked in a clinical area before.  We will look at the “do’s” and “don’ts” of working in the clinical setting.

We will also look at how people respond to illness, both as the patient, the carer, partner and friend, looking at the emotional aspects of serious illness and its impact on relationships

There will be time to look at modifying your treatment to work safely with people who are seriously ill, both on a practical level and also looking at the emotional aspects of working in this field.

We shall do some practical work during the afternoon to focus on correct positioning for the patient as well as safe posture for the therapist.

Times:  10.00am to 5.00pm.
