Reiki 1
Reiki One or first Degree Reiki
The objectives of
Reiki One, or first degree, are to allow the student to receive universal
healing energy for use on themselves and for friends and family. Please note that Reiki is not ‘religious’ in
that it is directed at any particular belief system, thus is compatible with
any faith practised by the student. Reiki one takes place over two full days.
In order to
achieve the above objectives students will:
- Receive 4 attunements – the Reiki Master performs a sacred ceremony to allow the student to receive the energy – it is almost like the tuning of a radio station for clarity purposes.
- Learn about the energy system, and how the Universal energy is incorporated into the physical body and used by it.
- Learn a sequence of self-healing using standard hand positions.
- Learn how to give healing to others, using a sequence of standard hand positions.
- Learn the different methods of meditation and the benefits to the physical and emotional systems.
- Learn how to work with pendulums, to detect energy flows on the chakras.
This course is a
pre-requisite to doing Reiki Two, or Second Degree. A similar course by an accredited Reiki
Master will be accepted. Please not that in order to use Reiki for
practitioner purposes, it is necessary to have the Reiki II accreditation, and
have relevant insurances
